Tiki is grumpy because she doesn’t want to go to work.
After work we visited her parents and handed her father three singlets, the bottle of Kahlua and a birthday card that contains my handwriting, three kisses from Tiki and one from me.
He already had their new fridge on a trolley, which bore large black pneumatic tyres, and we soon had it in place by manoeuvring the heavy object about the floor on a mat. We positioned their new stove by the same means. I also helped him unload his newly acquired set of old twin laundry tubs from the ute. He plans to breed worms in them to use as bait when he goes fishing.
“Dad” was already connecting the stove when Tiki and her mother returned with our Chinese takeaway from the Fountain Inn. Tiki and I shared our sweet and sour whole fish and combination chow mein.
Following the “ABC News”, at seven o’clock, on Channel Two and “A Current Affair” on Channel Nine, the others watched ‘Drug Patrol’ on “Taste For Adventure”, as I washed the dishes. The British comedy series, “The Two Ronnies”, screened at half past eight and, at a quarter past nine, “Yes, Honestly”, whose cast includes Liza “Skippy” Goddard. “Dad” had placed his bottle of Kahlua next to his other presents: a bottle of Drambuie and another which contained Bell’s whisky.
